Information we collect

We collect information you provide or create when you use Choopy, including:

• account details such as your name, email address, and profile image from your sign-in provider;
• prompts, canvas content, node chats, titles, and the revisions you choose to save;
• sharing choices, invitations, and collaboration activity;
• usage, device, browser, diagnostic, and security information needed to operate the service.

Payments and billing information

When you purchase Choopy Plus or credits, Dodo Payments acts as the merchant of record for the transaction. Dodo provides the hosted checkout, payment processing, invoicing, tax handling, refunds, and dispute handling for those purchases.

Choopy receives and stores the billing information needed to provide the paid service and respond to support requests, including your name and email address, Dodo customer, payment, and subscription identifiers, product and billing cadence, amount, currency, payment status, and relevant timestamps. Choopy does not receive or store your full card number or card security code.

Dodo's processing of payment information is governed by its privacy policy and buyer terms. We use the billing information returned by Dodo to confirm payments, maintain subscription access, add purchased credits, display billing status, and prevent duplicate or unauthorized entitlements.

How we use information

Choopy is an AI canvas: conversations use Choopy's AI features by design. We use information to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the product. This includes authenticating your account, saving canvases, analyzing prompts, generating AI responses and artifacts, enabling sharing, enforcing plan limits, diagnosing problems, and preventing misuse.

We may also use aggregated or de-identified information to understand product performance and improve the experience.

AI and service providers

Your prompts are analyzed by external AI service providers that Choopy uses to deliver its AI features. Relevant canvas content, node-chat context, and retrieved knowledge may be sent to those providers together with a prompt so they can generate the requested response or artifact.

Choopy also sends eligible human-readable canvas content and node-chat content to an embedding service to create derived vectors used for semantic retrieval. The embedding index is a derived search projection; it is not a separate user-facing canvas or content snapshot.

We may use model, search, embedding, hosting, authentication, analytics, or infrastructure providers. Those providers process information under their own contractual and legal obligations. Do not place sensitive information in Choopy unless you are comfortable having it processed for the product features you use.

Analytics and cookies

When browser analytics are enabled, we use PostHog to understand product usage, diagnose errors, and improve the experience. This may involve browser or device information, pages visited, interaction events, performance information, and error details. When you are signed in, analytics events may be associated with your Choopy account identifier, name, email address, or role.

Choopy also uses the cookies and browser storage necessary for authentication, security, navigation, and preserving an in-progress workflow. You can control cookies through your browser settings, although disabling necessary storage may prevent parts of Choopy from working.

Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information to service providers, when you direct us to share a canvas, to protect Choopy and its users, during a business transaction, or when required by law.

A live share link or invitation can make selected canvas information available to its recipients. You are responsible for choosing what to share and with whom.

Retention and your choices

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, comply with legal and tax obligations, maintain payment and accounting records, resolve disputes, and protect the service. Retention periods can vary by data type. Deleting an account does not require us to erase records that we must retain by law or that are needed to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

You can control canvas content and sharing from within the product. You may request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection to certain processing through our contact page, subject to applicable law and necessary exceptions. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent for the future.

Security and international processing

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so please protect your account and use care with share links.

Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for those transfers.

Children, changes, and contact

Choopy is not directed to children under 13, or a higher minimum age where local law requires it, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
